The Bell Witch--- This is where the Blair Witch peeps got their idea. The Blair Witch is true. But it's in a different country and has nothing to do with the movie. But I believe that this story is true. In the early 1800's John Bell and his family moved to North Carolina to farm. One day, in 1817, while walking thru the fields he said a strange looking creature sitting in the corn. John shot at it and it ran off. That night is when the horror began. The heard sounds as if someone were beating the walls of the house. The children where tossed from their beds. Besty, John's daugher, was slapped and hit by the spirit. The family heard someone crying or singing. At one time, John and Jessie Bell fought with Andrew Jackson in the War of 1812. Jackson came to stay with John at the house. Jackson's men were beat by the spirit. The spirit shook the house till the men begged Jackson to leave. Jackson later said that,"I would rather fight the entire Britsh army than face the Bell Witch." Besty met a men named Joshua. They engaged and were to be wed. The spirit followed Besty and Joshua and told them not to wed. She taunted them till they finally broke the engagement. John's heart grew worse and so did the witch. Finally he died. Later, his son found a bottle of some strange liquid. He gave some to the cat and it died. The witch declared that she gave some of that to ole' John and fixed him up good. At John's burial she laugh and sang a song of victory. In 1821 the spirit told Lucy Bell that she would come back for a visit in 7 years. Sure enough she came back in 1828. She talked with John Bell Jr. about life and Christianity. The witch gave predictions, like the Great Depression and both World Wars. All these were written down by John Jr. Nowadays, people claim to still hear the spirit and the sounds of children near the cave where the Bell's lived. A picture was taken of a girl sitting on a rock by the cave. When it was devoloped there was a man standing behind the girl. Not long ago a desentent of the Bell's shot a rabbit and the rabbit fell into some brush. In the brush was a stone which turned out to be Joel Bell's grave. The rabbit was never found. There are still strange things that accure at the old Bell farm today. So I supposed the witch never left. And if she's still here 200 years later, how long is she gonna stay?
The Amityville Horror--- On a November night just pasted 3:15 in 1974, Ronld Defoe grabbed his 35. cailber rifle and shot his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. All were found laying on their stomachs and had their hands crossed over their heads. After he was convicted of 6 counts of second degree murder, a family, named the Lutzs, stopped by 112 Ocean Ave. It was a year after the Defoe murders when the Lutzs moved in. They only stayed in their dream house for 28 days. Ronld Defeo claimed to be hearing the voice of God telling him to kill his family. The Lutzs heard much more. Let's look at what happened to them: A day after they moved in a priest came to bless the house. He hear a voice scream, "GET OUT!" but he finished blessing the house. Then fell deathly ill. George spent more time in front of the fire. He was freezing even though the thermostats said 80 degrees. The window to the sewing room, (Ronld's room,) was covered with live flies. This is in January, let me remind you. The water in the bathroom toilets turned black and let off a gross scent. Litte Amy had an imaginary friend named Jodie. She said it was a pig. George walked into Amy's room and she pointed to the window and said Jodie wanted in. He looked at the window and saw red eyes. George threw a chair at the window and heard squeling sounds as the chair went thru the window. Blood came from the walls. Kathy Lutz found her children sleeping on their stomachs when they have always slept on their backs. Kathy had a nightmare and woke up screaming, "She was shot in the head!!" I don't have enough room to share what else happened. But they left their home in the middle of the night with changes of clothes after staying for only 28 days. They left behind $40,000 dollar worth of vaubles. Would you leave like that?
